The Imperial Ice Stars return to the Coliseum Theatre this December with The Nutcracker on Ice – a fairytale journey for all ages.
One of the most captivating productions created by Artistic Director Tony Mercer, and performed by the world-renowned Imperial Ice Stars, The Nutcracker on Ice delivers an unforgettable theatrical experience set to Tchaikovsky’s timeless score. Audiences will witness a spectacular fusion of theatre and Olympic‑level ice‑skating, featuring magnificent choreography, breathtaking high‑speed acrobatics and dramatic moments that will take their breath away.
The story follows Clara, who receives a special wooden nutcracker that comes to life. Guided by the Sugar Plum Fairy, she is swept into a magical adventure through shimmering landscapes, the enchanting Kingdom of Sweets and the Land of Snowflakes.
Showcasing the Imperial Ice Stars’ signature ice‑skating artistry and dramatic storytelling, The Nutcracker on Ice invites audiences into the magical world of this beloved fairytale on a frozen stage – a festive season highlight for family audiences and theatre lovers alike.
